Michael Price is the Chief Financial Officer of the American Theatre Wing, a veteran Broadway producer, and an executive producer. He is currently in his 44th year as Executive Director of Goodspeed Musicals. Mr. Price is the founder and first chairman of the National Alliance for Musical Theatre, as well as a founding member of the National Alliance for Musical Theatre Producers. He has also served as the financial director of the American Theatre Wing and is a member of the Tony Awards Management Committee. Of the 16 shows Goodspeed has transferred to Broadway, 15 were first produced by Michael at Goodspeed. Michael is a board member of the Johnny Mercer Foundation and serves on the boards of the Foundation for Jewish Culture and the Union for Reform Judaism. For his contributions to the arts, Michael received the Connecticut Governor’s Arts Award and has held positions as Chair of the Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism and as a member of the Connecticut Arts Council. He holds honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degrees from Connecticut College and the University of Hartford.
